Before you get tracking
Who owns the time and client data we enter?
You own it all. Export every time entry, invoice, and client record at any point — there's no lock-in and no minimum retention to unlock your own data.
What happens if I cancel my paid plan?
You don't lose your data. Your account moves to the Free plan — three projects and three clients — and you can keep using it. If you want to close your account completely, that's a separate step. Financial records are kept for five years for tax purposes, then deleted.
Do I need a credit card for the Free plan?
No. Just sign up and start using the Free plan. You get three projects and three clients, with no card or trial deadline.
Do Free and Starter include the Kanban board or client portal?
No — the full kanban board with per-assignee timers, estimates, expenses, recurring invoices, and the client portal are Pro and Business features. Free and Starter cover time tracking and basic invoicing.
Is GST/BAS reporting built in, or a spreadsheet export?
It's built right into Springtrack. Your GST/BAS report is based on your actual invoiced totals, so there's no need to reconcile everything manually.
What currencies are supported for subscription and billing?
Your Springtrack subscription is billed in whichever currency you're offered at signup and stays fixed in that currency for as long as you're subscribed. For invoicing your own clients, each client has its own billing currency — choose from nine supported currencies including AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, NZD, SGD, JPY, CHF — so you can bill different clients in their own currency. There's no automatic exchange-rate conversion between them.
